    Fahrenheit/Celsius
I have a Honeywell MagicStat/32 programmable thermostat, which has been working fine for years. Today it is reading temps. In celsius rather than fahrenheit, and I can't find any switch to change it back, nor can I find any reference to making this change in the instructions manual. I am sure it is some simple combination of buttons, but the solution alludes me. Can anyone help?

If nobody familiar with it answers, you could try removing the and replacing the battery and hope it defaults to Fahrenheit.

    Change temp format
    Hi,
After much, much searching through http://www.honeywell.com, I came up with this link:

    http://yourhome.honeywell.com/yourho.../ModelNum.aspx

If you would like to try it, it is asking for the model number, which I'm not sure if magicstat/32 is really the model number. Try the link above, and see if it will help. Other model numbers are listed, with specific pictures on how to set it back to F degrees.
    Best of luck.

    Fahrenheit Question
The idea of unplugging the battery and refastening was a good one. The link to finding the model number could also have been helpful, but I have the model number and the book that goes with it. So, I went in the living room to remove the battery, when I noticed that it is back to fahrenheit. It did it all by itself while I was out. So, I may never know how to do it purposefully, but may also never again need to know. Thanks, all. By the way, Honeywell has copies of most documentation booklets available online.

On the back you will find 3 screws...
2 will be one above the other.
1 will be high and nothing below it.
Screw it down to be Fahrenheit and unscrew (about a turn and a half) to be Celsius.
Mine went too for no reason but if you unscrew it and then screw it down I guess it "remakes" a connection putting it to Fahrenheit and that's the answer you are looking for.
