I have move some floorboards and there is about an inch of old water under them, it looks like it's old water, is this a major problem or is it normal for this time of year with the rain.

Where is Cheadle, Cheshire, please? By extension, do you mean something like a porch or deck of some kind? What do you mean by old bit? I apologize for all of the questions. But, for people to really know what you are describing and then to give you helpful information, it would help to know with what you are dealing. This site is viewed by people around the world. So, there may be some differences in how we name and describe things that are otherwise common to all of us.

Cheadle - Cheshire is in England, you must have a leak in your foundation wall, ran into those problems in Scotland as I am from Glasgow but now living in Canada. Please let me know how you make out.
