    NO vent stack
I have a five year old house. After years of listening to the bubbling gurgling toilet and banging pipes when the toilet is flushed, we looked and found NO vent stack. (We have several other code violations as well) IS there any way we can remedy this without ripping up floors and walls or do we have to just live with it:( Thanks for you advice.

You can add a AAV or air admittance valve on much of your plumbing but that won't help your tub and toilet. It is mind boggling to think someone could build a house and have this pass inspection. I'd consult a licensed plumber for his opinion on the stack. The vent stack should exit through the roof, is there no pipe sticking through the roof anywhere?
