    Clear skin
My face has become dark due to shaving... what can I do or use to get it back to its normal colour or to clear up the darkness from my cheeks and around the mouth area?

Shaving in particular facilitates razor bumps and ingrown hairs because it sharpens the hair end that then pierces back into the skin resulting in the characteristic redness and inflammation, which leads to dark spots or discoloration. You can lighten the dark discoloration by using an alpha hydroxy cream. Alpha hydroxy acids removes dead skin cells from the surface and improves skin texture and color. You will find it at a pharmacy in the skin care aisle.
