    You need to replace the dogs in the agitator if it spins but will not agitate. Remove the fabric softner cup the remove the cover with the bow tie twist on it. Next remove the 7/16 bolt and remove the agitator. Set on floor and put you feet on the base and pull up. Replace the "dogs" or cams and put in new ( about $10.00) for parts and reinstall. Takes about 30 minutes.

    No belts on this washer It's a "Whirlpool Gold Catalyst Washer problem" it fills and that all you get no noise at all, it will also not spin or drain, lid is closed, lights on the control panel and timer led runs down but no action.
