How can anyone ask for money to help a family be reunited? I don't understand it at all.

To get someone's hope and dreams built up that they would come crashing down to see that they have to pay money to answers they have been looking for, for 21 years. I do not understand how programs like that can shatter somones dreams as quick as that.

I have the same problem. I'm looking for my father and my ex-husband for the last three years. No matter what site I used, they give a little information, and if you want more, they want you to pay...

Money, not people or emotions, rules the world. Guess we have to accept it, or see if anyone on a forum living in the same area might help find an individual, and that's kind of hard to ask for a favor like that.

    Like I said, money talks...

It costs money to maintain a database and website. Why do you think you should get access to these things for free?

If you are in the business of looking for people, it is worth the money.
But I think, just like most software, there should be something like a free trial period, or a search limit of 1 to 3 people to see if you are satisfied enough with the results before you spend money. Money is hard to come by these days unless your are rich.

What angers me about these sites is that they act like it takes a while to search, give you a little info, then they try to lure you for money, instead of telling you straight out that money will be required for more than just the name and last know address.

I even tried going through Social Security with the number and name, and was linked to one of these sites, which is also frustrating. IRS links you to the same idiot search sites, so now you know where my frustration is from.

Business cost money to operate, staff to pay.

Ask why does McDonalds not just give away food all day, there are hungry people who go without food everyday. Don't they deserve food to eat.

So they have to charge for food to stay in business.
