    89 honda accord lights trouble
    I have a 89 honda accord and my lights will not go from bright to dim.they switch over but when they go to dim they go out.I'v checked the bulbs and the fuses under the dash and hood.but they still won't work hopefully someone can help me

    You may find the only problem is a little corrosion on the switch contacts. Work the switch back and forth, several times, till it work's the way it's supposed to..

    Try electrical contact cleaner or WD-40 on the switch. If that doesn't solve the problem, replace the combination switch--easy job:

    1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
    2. Remove lower dashboard cover (3 screws).
    3. Remove upper and lower steering column covers (3 screws).
    4. Disconnect 4-P and 7-P connectors from combination light switch, remove both screws, and lift out switch.
