Hi,
I just finished chipping the cement away and cutting my stack down to the proper height to mount my flange, but unfortunately the 3" vertical stack is not level coming out of the cement floor.

When I dry fit my flange it is lower on one side by about a 1/2".

Any Idea on what my options are?

I don't suppose the wax ring will make up that much of a difference would it?

Sorry my friend but you're going to hafta bust out the cement and strighten up that pipe. I wish I could be more helpful with a miracle fix but I can't. Good luck, Tom

Would my best bet be to bust up the concrete, dig down to the elbow, try to bend the main stack straight, support it, and then back fill with gravel and cement ?

I measured down the inside of the pipe and I have about 14" to the elbow. Do you think that is enough to be able to bend the stack ?

You might break something bust all the what though and cut and reglue your closet bend that's your best bet

I broke up a good amount of the floor and found the original problem

The reason the vertical stack is not level is because the main horizontal pipe is on an angle. It is sloped down towards the main pipe that exits the house.

So my new problem is, If I cut the horizontal pipe and put a new elbow on it, will I still be off level because of the original slope of this horizontal pipe ? I think something is going to have to bend somewhere...

You may need to make your cut at the main and replace the entire horizpntal pipe level. If you were to switch to an Oatey Twist-N-Set flange you might find that you can make up that 1/2" out of level, I'm not 100% sure but if it doesn't work you can retrun the part, about $18.
