My reset buton doesn't work. The outside unit will only run if the breaker is turned off and back on. Once the temp is reached, the outside unit will not come on again

By turning the breaker on and off to get it to work you are just reseting the circuit board. It could be the board or a sensor. I would have it professionaly serviced before you spend $$$ without knowing the exact cause of the failure
