This is my first post, so thanks in advance for any help. I'm finishing my basement & am installing a pair of Marley electric baseboard heaters in parallel. I've got the basics done: double 20 amp breaker, 12ga wire, Double line break thermostat. Here's the issue: The units will accept left or right hand connection, but the wiring at either end is different. The right side simply has the red & black wires joined by a wire nut. The left side (my preferred side) has the red wire exiting from the lower portion with a pre-terminated connector plugged directly into the connection above it. Right next to where the red wire connects, the black wire is exiting & wire nutted to the black lead coming from the other side. Obviously, both black & white leads from my feed are hot, but what the heck am I supposed to do at the left side? The directions are less than through. Again, thanks in advance for anybody who's installed one of these before & can give me an idea on how to wire this up properly. - RobAttachment 5552

Feed the red with one side of the 220 and black with the other side of 220 volts. You might have to cut and splice to get it done.
