Hi all,
I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo and I can't get the key out of the ignition. I can start it and shut it off just fine. Any ideas?

My Neon key has to be in a certain position in the ignition before I can take it out. Also, the car has to be in Park. Check the owner's manual if you have one, or call a mechanic.
Even though this link is for Hondas, it should give you some insight into your problem:

When the key will not return fully to the "lock" position it is either one of two things. It is either that you need a new ignition switch and depending on your type of car the price varies. Or , the shifter for your car may have a loose connecting cable to the transmission. So While the car is in park , it may actually not be fully engaged and this is why the car won't allow the key to return fully to the "lock" position. This is most likely fixed by just having that cable tightened. More often then not is the second issue I listed and a simple fix!
