No water for water & ice at fridge
We have no water nor ice at our refrigerator. Its an amana side by side, approximately 10 years old. Have looked for a filter but no luck, unless its hidden real well. It just stopped all of a sudden. I have checked the owners manual and checked online for a filter but have not found anything as of yet. Everyone has told me that its got one and that that is the problem. Thanks for any assistance you can give.

I would go to where the line to the refrigerator tees off. If it is the type that clamps over a larger line, shut the main line off and remove the clamp. There may only be a small hole in the main line, and it could be blocked by a little piece of crud. Try poking something in it. Then wrap a rag around it and briefly turn the water back on. See if any water comes out. Check the line and any valve at the tee and make sure it is open. That may fix the problem.

Otherwise post back with what you find and we will try something else.

Alternatively... or also, you can turn off the little valve where the fridge water line goes into the fridge... then have someone turn the valve back on.

If water shoots out of the fridge line, then the problem is in the fridge itself.
