I recently installed the new macaffee virus and security application from AOL but can not connect to the internet since installing. I am using a netgear wired router which I have a 2nd PC and xbox 360 connected which both allow me to connect to the net.

I phoned AOL and after trying different options they have suggested to contact the PC vendor.

Has anyone got any suggestions as I can play online with the xbox 360 but my main PC will not allow a connection.

Richard, if all your PCs are unable to surf it is not likely a "pc vendor" issue...

Temp disable your McAfee Personal Security/Firewall, & see if you get back online. If not, verify Windows Firewall is NOT ON - turn it OFF too...

If all firewalls are OFF and you can't get online, go to command line (START > RUN > enter "cmd" > GO).
At the blinky, enter

Ping Yahoo (if 1~4 replies you are online)
