I have never seen this type of main breaker/fuse. Is the correct method for disconnecting/shutting off power to pull straight out? Do the screws need to be removed first? Or? I am a Cabinet builder and installer and since this device is not made of wood, it is not familiar! Ps I hate electricity also so there is a 99% chance no mater what the answers are, I not doing it, but I would still like to know please. Thanks. Here's are 2 photos below. It says "Blakeman Brothers Elect Mfg" Plate below it says "200 amp per branch circuit max, 120-240 VAC"

What is the question?

The handle at Main is a pull out fuse. Pulling it out will disconnect whatever load is connected to it.

Leave screws alone, think they secure the fuse holder.

I would also suggest before you pull the main fuse assembly, you pull and unscrew all the branch circuit fuses before you attempt to pull the main. Depending on how much electricity you are using at the moment, you may cause an arc, which may short out to the panel cover. It's also good practice.
