No, you will never find happiness getting married to make someone else happy. If you find someone you care about, you marry them, and it will be your parents issue to learn to like them, not you to find someone to make them happy.

I do not know your faith or the familial strength brought to be on you. However you answered you own question in your opening sentence. The dream you are worrying about is your parents dream. You are not your parents and you are entitled to your own dreams. They do not own you future or your dreams. They do have their best interest in you when they are offering you guidance and suggestions on how and when to do things, but the final decisions will always be yours.

Parents can be so interfering at times, I say this because I am a parent and grandparent. Please understand that we try our very best to help you avoid the mistakes we made as we struggled through our lives and created our histories.

Unfortunately as much as we would like to, we cannot live your life. Its yours, take it back.
