I love movies with a unique twist, like
Angel Heart
Thirteenth Floor
Butterfly Effect
The Prestige
Sixth Sense
etc.
Can any of y'all suggest other good ones?

To live and die in la , 1986, great movie, just twisted
I remember that one well... a good and stylish actioner... but I don't remember a "unique twist". Did it have one?
The Usual Suspects
The Village
The Game
Arlington Road
The Reaping was quite a good movie with twists and turns.
If you don't mind gore I suggest "Seven."
I loved Usual Suspects and The Game. I found the Village just "fair to middlin".Quote:

Both have interesting twists!
What about lucky number slevin...
Three more twisted tales:
U-Turn
Frailty
Blood Simple
Lucky number slevin..
If I post this twice... sorry:)
Thanks, all... I'll be checking out these I have not seen.
I did see and like Ronin.
"Identity" with John Cusak is a good one too.
Derailed is a really good film with a great twist. It has jennifer aniston, clive owen and vincent cassel in it.
Thanks, I've not seen Identity or Derailed.
Mullholland drive
Rick, Dr D suggested Frailty and Blood Simple. If you haven't seen them, those are excellent examples of what you are looking for. Frailty has become one of my all time favorites for one of the greatest plot twists I have seen.
Other ones that come to mind (I am listing some oldies here as well):
Lone Star (Chris Cooper, Elizabeth Pena) This is one of my favorite movies. GREAT plot twist at the end.
Memento Guy Pierce
Children of Men Clive Owen
The Illusionist Edward Norton (not one of my favorites but decent
Don't Look Now Donald Sutherland, Julie Christie
Sea of Love (Al Pacino, Ellen Barkin)
The Others Nicole Kidman
The Swimmer Burt Lancaster
Vertigo Jimmy Stewart (excellent Hitchcock)
Soylent Green Charleton Heston, Edward G Robinson
Primal Fear Richard Gere, Ed Norton
The Name of the Rose Sean Connery (not suspenseful but very interesting time murder/detective work set in a 16th century ?(can't remember date) abbey.
The Crying Game Stephen Rea
House of Games Lindsay Crouse, Joe Mantegna
L.A Confidential Russell Crowe, Kim Basinger, et al...
Chinatown Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway
Oh boy, there are many more but those should keep you busy for a while. ;) I didn't mention "Psycho" with Anthony Perkins because I assumed you have seen it.
Thanks, folks! Lots to check out for the holidays... Sounds like Frailty is one to check out. I did see Blood Simple long ago...
Children of Men, The Illusionist, Chinatown and Crying Game bored me to tears :oQuote:

As for the Other... the original was much better in my opinion.
LOL Rick. I actually didn't like the House of Games. LOL. Yes, the Illusionist was not one of the best and Children of Men wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. Chinatown? Bored you to tears? Oh my. I love that movie when it came out. Maybe if I saw it again, I might change my opinion. It has been a while. The Crying Game I think may be considered a better movie by women than men. Well, I was trying to give you a list of movies that had good twists in them. If you haven't seen "Lone Star" or Dr D's suggestion of "Frailty", watch 'em. I would love to know what you think of them. They are favorites of mine. You should probably avoid "The Swimmer". Great twist but there isn't a lot of action and it can take some patience to get through it.
