This question has been asked before and I don't remember there ever being a law that was found... nor would you want your lawmakers to be legislating this kind of intrusion.

How old are the kids? What's the deal here? What's your angle?

There are no laws, but there may be some guidelines with children's services. Check with your local agency.

As Scott said, there might be some standard with Social Services. Check with them and with your housing authority. If you are concerned, your daughter can sleep in your room. I would say at the age of thirteen, the two should not be sharing a room any longer.

I would say so too, but I also don't think it's a terrible thing either. Obviously they should not share a bed (bunk beds would be best). But if they have separate beds and respect each others privacy (changing in the bathroom and always knocking if door is closed) it can be done, if that's the only housing you can get or afford.

There are no state laws for families, there are rules and regs as for as Children and family services, there are rules as for adoption, and there can be rules that apartment complexs.
