    What happens if I ignore the summons because I know I can't pay I don't work

    Ignore them and the police willcome give you a free ride to the jailhouse and the judge will decide that you are irresponsible and give you a more severe punihment, go in on your own, and at least it looks like you want to try to help yourself out.

    Well I know this is a civil matter no a criminal matter I don't agree any one will go to jail for not being able to pay debts I was an excellent an responsible person is just that my situation got worse and I am disabled what the point of going to court if I only live of ssi

    Its still better if you GO in to tell the judge that you are down on your luck than have to be taken in like a crimminal

    About debts I had in 2004 but I am not paying attention to the summons because I don't work and I am disabled now so I think it makes no sense to go to court. I notified the creditors about my situation and they still procedding with the summons but I have no property.
