    :confused: Given the fallowing balanced equation, 2Al + 3S -> Al2S3
    Q 1. How many moles of Al2S3 will form if we start with 16 moles of Al?
    Q 2. How many moles of sulfur will be combined with 16 moles of Al?

    See the reaction? It tells you that 2 moles of al are needed to form one mole of al2s3... right? So...

    Do the work and well talk about your answer.

    Just use the mole ratio for Al:Al2S3.
    It is 2:1. Take this to mean, for every 2 moles of Al, we get one mole of AL2S3.
    If we start with 16 moles of Al, we will get 8 moles of Al2S3.
    As for the second question, just multiply the 16 by 1.5 to get 24 moles of Sulphur per mole of Aluminum.

    Yes, it takes more time and effort to talk someone through a problem, but if they are not willing to do the work, then they aren't willing to learn.

    But try not to give people answers when they are simply posting the question without a thoughtful discussion.
