Daschund potty in the cold problems
My 1 yr old mini Daschund who has been completely housebroken has had a hard time adjusting to our Michigan move from Arkansas. He hates the cold and does not want to go outside. He has had many accidents, where he has turned over on his back and peed on himself when you touch him.

What can we do differently to get him to go outside in the snow.

How long has it been since you moved? What other issues have you had when you state that he "has had a hard time adjusting" to the move? How long ago did he start backsliding in his potty training?

I won't be back online until tomorrow sometime so if you can answer the questions, your response will aid someone else who might be able to respond with some help or suggestions. I will come back and help you further if my input is required.

Best thing is to make him walk around. They can only walk and hold it so long. I use that technique a lot before taking a young puppy in public places. One he goes, lavish praise on him. Make sure he understand he is the greatest little dog there is.

Is it cold or snow that bothers him? If it's snow, Labman suggested shoveling a clear patch for the dog's potty area in another thread.

I am not sure I was the one that mentioned shoveling. I did suggest they don't like it when the snow is too deep. Shoveling works in many cases.
