How often should I have my septic tank cleaned out. I have lived here for 8 years and never had it done. No problems yet. Thanks!

Really depends on how many people live in the house and the size of the tank. Some people never pump and never have a problem but I think they are tempting fate. I sit on a HOA Board and their Architectural Control, we require all tanks to be pumped every 5 years since we are on a lake. If you ask a professional pumper he will tell you more often, maybe to increase business.
