    Recoving Security Deposit
My landlord is trying to keep all of my security deposit, stating that she had to haul off stuff from the garage but when asked what all she could come up with was 4 chairs and a toy box and some folding chairs. She stated that there were a few leaves in the dinning room from a plant, the top of the sink in the bathroom was dirty and the foil things under the burners on the stove are stained from use.

Is there anything I can do to get this resolved? This is a big chunk of money for me and my family. We are in Kansas.

    Thanks,

    Hello v:

Sure. Sue her in small claims court. It's quick, cheap and easy. Hopefully, you took pictures...

But, if you DID leave a mess, and she countersues, you could lose. I don't know. You pays your nickel and you takes your chances.
