    Plumbing CVPC - copper
Can I hook a CVPC female adapter straight to a copper male adapter. Or is there a special fitting I need.

You can, but only if the CPVC fitting has a brass female insert.

Using an all plastic female adapter with a copper male adapter is just asking for trouble.

With the normal expansion and contractions found in potable water systems, the plastic female adapter will eventually crack and break.

Having said that, female plastic to male metallic transitions are also expressly forbidden by most Plumbing Codes.

I am in the process of installing a new walk in shower unit. I will be tiling the floor. How do I install a drain for the shower. It will be hooked to an existing drain which is currently hooked to the tub. Thanks
