    Single Outlet Not Working
I have one outlet in my kitchen that is not working. I have checked the breaker box and nothing was tripped. There isn't a "reset" button to push, I am at a lost what to try next or even what could be wrong with the outlet.

    Any ideas?

    Sara,

A word of warning, be very careful when touching anything electrical! There are two immediate possibilities. Loose connections and 2) A upstream GFCI outlet setup to control two outlets. Look around your kitchen and see if any outlets are GFCI. If there are any, and there should be, then plug a radio or light into the outlet and start resetting the GFCIs around the kitchen

Have you checked the outlet with a voltage meter to see if you are getting any electricity to it?

If the outlet is dead, you are going to have to pull the outlet out and check the connections both on the receptacle as well as at the pigtail if they are there.

If that outlet isn't "switched", you may have a broken/loose wire.
I'd recommend you hire an electrician to trace this down.
