I'm writing a college essay for a fashion school and I need to explain WHY fashion. I have to explain WHY when I was a little girl I would run to the shoe section instead of the toy section. I'm the biggest fan of fashion trends and I love all the designers. I want to go into the field of Fashion Merchandising. I just cannot think of anything to write about what fashion means to me. HELP PLEASE!:confused:

Well, its what Fashion means to YOU, not anybody else. Talk about how fashion makes you feel, what emotions in invokes in you, why you love it so. Talk about your favourite designers and trends and WHY you love them so much!

Since I was not one to run to shoe section of a store, I could not tell you. Besides, this is your question to your answer, based on your own knowledge of your own self. We cannot do that for you.

What is it about shoes that has always fascinated you? Same for dresses, coats, etc. It is the styles, the colors, the designers, the fabrics, the cut of the material? See, only you know that. None of that much impressed me. If something fit and I liked it, I bought it.

Is there a particular desginer, say Calvin Klein or Coco Chanel that stands out to you? Is there a particular decade of style that just makes you tickled?

I am writing a application form for a cloths shop, and as a interest I have put interested in fashion, now next to it it says " what it says about you " I need help what to right please help
