My husband, Larry, and I are interested in starting a power wash business in Montgomery, Al. I need to know where to research codes for this business and where to research how much to charge for a particular job.

We had good success with an LLC for over the road trucking and transportation brokering, so I feel sure we will start another LLC. Any help where to research this business would be helpful.

As far as the laws, ordinances or codes as you call them in Montgomery, AL I would suggest getting in contact with city officials there. Concerning how much to charge, that would depend on what kind of power washing you will be doing and the going rates for that where you will be doing the work. To find that out, you might do a Google search for power washing Montgomery, Alabama and see what you can find. You could also look in a phone book for Montgomery, AL and call some other businesses and ask them. You wouldn't have to tell them that you are also wanting to go into that kind of business. Just ask them what their rates are for a hypothetical situation.
