Thanks. He was bailed to my friends house on Saturday, The Police, Etc, Were not able to get in touch with his mother, so he gave my friends address instead. He now has got to stop there until he appears in Court in 2 weeks time. So she was just wondering if she was entitled to any state benefits / grants for his upkeep.

I don't think so, but the mother should be responsible for them, so if she has custody, she may be eligible for money from the mother. She should talk to a social worker or a lawyer even.
