I am 23 years old and recently stopped taking my birth control pills after 5 years of being on them. I stopped taking them in May and since then have been a week late maybe a week and a half at the longest. The first day of my last period was September the 12th. I have been to the doctor and got a blood test and urine test there and they were both negative. I took 3 hpt and they were negative also. I haven't had a period in 2 months and it is starting to worry me. They just did another blood test to check my blood sugar and glucose. Haven't gotten the results back yet. Any advice as to what could be going on.

Birth control pills contain hormones. These can screw up your natural hormones, making your periods different. You will go back to normal. Give it more time.

Hi, I was just reading this as I posted mine. I was on the pill for about 9 years and came off in May. I had a period in June, July, August and September, all normal, then nothing. We are trying for a baby.

I really thought I must be pregnant, but tests were coming up negative. I recently had a blood test and that just showed up normal. Do you think you could be pregnant?

What pill were you on? It will be interesting to know if it is the same one I was on. This has been driving me crazy. Please let me know if you do get your period.
