When my mom was younger... she had two miscarriages before she had me and my sister. Because she had miscarriages is there a higher percent that I will have them too?

Nope not really. Miscarriages happen for many many reasons, many of which are unknown. If you are in your child bearing years, I would suggest you take a multivitamin that contains folic acid to help reduce the chances of miscarriage and neural tube defects.

Most women do not know why they miscarry, heck most of the doctors don't know why women miscarry. Usually it is because of a genetic anomaly wherein the fetus (baby) is not able to continue through the pregnancy.
