Well I'm about to lose my virginity and I was wondering if the tampon broke my hymen because I'm real scared that its going to hurt when I have sex

It might have hurt because the tampon soaked up all the moisture. Cotton soaks things up, and it could have soaked up your natural lubricant as well as the blood, thus making it hurt.

You probably didn't break you hymen... perhaps you were pulling the tampon out at the wrong angle because you were in a hurry. If your hymen is intact when you have penis penetration for the first time, it will hurt and bleed.

Id say its been broken by now. If you have done sports in the past or wore a tampon, its easy for it to break. Don't worry about it so much, you should be fine.

You had the same tampon in all day? That's why it hurt, hon. You can't leave them in all day. Ever heard of TSS? If you did break it, it is no big deal. When you first have sex it will hurt either way, but the pain won't last long.

I think the pain associated with first time sex is over exaggerated. I know that I found it a little uncomfortable and a 'foreign' feeling but I wouldn't go so far as to say hurt. Then again, I was lucky enough to have my first time within a relationship of mutual respect and love so I would have been more relaxed and able to say so if I was in pain. Hope it's the same for you :)
