    Nattosyn - hemoglobin count 15.6
My hemoglobin count is 15.6 (high end for women is at 15.1) which according to one doctor is causing problems with my vagus nerve which in turn causes rapid heart beat and/or atrial fibrillation. I do not want to take Cumadin as it has adverse side effects. I do not take any medication. Woud Nattosyn help my condition? Thanks very much.

With cardiac conditions such as yours I really prefer to stay away from the natural/herbal remedies, unless approved by your doctor.

I understand your concerns about Coumadin, as it does indeed have side effects. Has your doctor discussed the possibilities of Heparin or Lovenox with you?

I actually have the rare blood clotting disorder where I have a Protein C & S deficiency. It comes from my mother's family. History of Blood clot deaths, from DVT's to the lungs to the heart. I had a PE on 9-10-08 and it was also discovered that my father's Angina showed up. So now I'm on Coumadin ie: Warfarin 10mg 4 days a week and 7.5 mg 3 days a week. In fact I just got approved by my insurance co. (I'm also on full SS Disability) from Medicare and my other ins. To have a unit at home where my Cardiologist can have me test at any time. I searched "why blood gets thick" on the www and this link came up. I think you'll find it very interesting.
