My Foundation in the basement is growing white chalky like stuff on it down by the floor this is not a room we really use just for storage. Is this something I should be worried about?
Thanks

Sounds like calcium deposits from moisture.
Prepping, priming, and painting with UGL drylok paint would take care of it.

The stuff can me removed with muratic acid or a dry powder that Dryloc sells. I've read elsewhere that after the etch, use TSP (Tri-Sodium Phospate) to remove traces of the acid.
Proper surface preparation is essential for painting concrete. Wear the proper personal protective equipment.
