What do you mean by "small trucking" (company) and what kind of freight are you wanting to transport?
I own 10 trucks reefers and vans. So, I can transport frozen stuff and dry. I would like to know how do I say for e.g.. Bid on a truckload of freight from Pepsi or Coca Cola etc.Quote:

When you call or go in... which is better ask to speak with the person in charge of logistics.
Try a website by the name of courierbrokers.com, don't let the name fool you. They have full truck loads, LTL freight postings there. I have a couple of straight trucks, a couple of flat beds. I've a few jobs from shippers and one from a broker. But there's a lot of available loads on there. Also they have a free trial period. It's pretty cheap compared to other sites I've tried. They also have a advertising directory, which is good to get your services out there.
