    Well, its not the primary macromolecule in a membrane... there are proteins embedded, but there's another primary macromolecule I'd list first.

    Do a little more digging/reading and try again.

    Cell membranes composition is primarily of proteins and lipids, especially phosphplipids. These lipids occur in 2 layers(phospholipid bilayer) At these sites is where we find the proteins embedded.
