Dvd compilation burn missing audio track
Hi, can anyone out there can help me?
I've used Nero VisionExpress 2 for some time to burn movies (along with DVD Shrink) with no problems... until.. tried to burn a compilation of four short dvd movie clips. Seemed to burn fine - picture is fine but there is no audio.
Any ideas about what I've done wrong?

    No Audio
    Hi,
Strange things do happen with burning. Is this the first time you tried burning a compilation of 4? Had you only burned 1 at a time before?
By trying 4 at once, you may have run out of Burning Cache (or memory), not allowing the audio enough "space" to be put on the burning.
    Try this:
Before burning, turn off any wallpaper, and screensavers. Turn off or disable any programs running in the background, which show down by the clock in the system tray. You can right click on them, then click on Exit, or Disable; such as any antivirus program, etc.
Best of luck. I use Nero Express 5.5, and sometimes it "messes up" with trying to burn too much at one time.

Thanks for your advice. I had burnt compilations before but from video rather than dvd.
I tried it again as you suggested but still no audio on the disc. Just prior to this burn, I burnt an entire movie with no problems (DVD Shrink and Nero)

    Any other thoughts?

what type of files were these short compilation? Sometimes if they are avi, you don't need to 'shrink' them as they are ready to just burn on cd or dvd. When I do that, burning rom tells me so and changes screen to burn currectly. You might want to go into create movie cd and follow the menu - and if you have not done this before, it's always a good idea to read the manuals you should have downloaded already. Let me know exactly what you are trying to 'create' please. It could also be that you are missing a codec file. Also, did you download the most current updates for Nero? I would update soon, as there is a version 7 now - real cool!

The files are some Special Features video from dvd movies I ripped. I wanted to combine them onto one dvd. I originally ripped them using DVD shrink.
So they are the usual VOB files with BOP and IFO files.
I'm using Nero Express 6 which came with my DVD player - haven't updated yet but planning to.
When I checked the saved version of the burn in NeroVision the audio was there - just disappears on the burn

Save your working compilation, but try again after reading the manual. If you are like most people I know, the last thing you'll do is look at the manuals or check the help files. The manuals are on the nero site and can be downloaded one at a time and are in PDF format, even in several languages. Once you have the Smartstart menu up, click on the big nero name *this will also connect you directly to updates, or help to get you to the site, then download the manuals. You will find your solution there. Or when using the Express, click on help, and get to the site from there. The manuals are obtainable in many different languages also, so it's worth checking out. I hope you solve your problem as NERO is one of the best applications there is. I do all my home movies, MP3 cd/dvds and also music cd for the car, as well as all my slideshows with music(a feature where you can include any song, and have it start and stop with the slideshow with just a click). And of course I use it along with DVDRegionFree and DVDShrink to backup my original DVDs. In my opinion it's better than the products from Ulead or Pinnacle, even though it's made in germany... Good luck, - a little reading will get you far. P.S. Once you install the updates, you'll have to re-install the first set you downloaded, to get the smartstart menu and icon again, this is the only flaw in the system, but otherwise a great app. Good luck. If you can't find the manuals for some reason, I have them available and can send them to you.
