Been seeing a guy for a few months. Met on the web, we have talked, text and met up. He has a lot of stress going on in his life at the moment, but he says he really likes me, but he never calls when he says he's going to. I think he's great, very attentive, great to be with. I really like him, and he's told me he likes me. I could see this going somewhere, but the not phoning is getting me down, am I reading too much into it?

Phone calls are a big part of a long distance relationship (I'm assuming). And honesty is a big part of any relationship. If he says he's going to call, he should. You should let him know that it bothers you. Say something like, "You know, I look forward to your call all day."

Being in fairly new relationship sounds like the trust is there. Only the persons in the relationship know EXACTLY what's going on. You need to look a little deeper than the surface and figure things out. I know a whole lot about how males think because I have 2 male best friends and many times when I don't understand or is just confused about something that's going on in my relationship... I call them up and ask them. Same situation was happening to a friend of mine. If this man was truly into you and really liked you like he said... what would be stopping him from calling... ok got it... he's going through something's right now, but if you should be someone that he would want to speak to about his situations. It is a new era sweetie... and I so live by this... technology is a GREAT THING! If for whatever reason you he can't call... texting is wonderful! He could text to let you know that he's either a little busy, but been thinking about you and will speak with you in the morning or whatever the case maybe... but if he truly like you... he will call. But, indeed you need to let him know. One of us women common mistakes is that if something bothers us in a relationship, we either accept it when we really don't want to or we don't say anything about it at all and if we should nip these things in the butt from the beginning we could prevent a whole lot of heart ache later down in the relationship.
