    One Room Not Getting Heat
My child's upstairs room is the only room that does not receive heat. The landlord said the problem is probably that her room is the farthest from the furnace, which he says is outdoors.Could that really be the problem?I've lived in other places and never heard such a thing or had this problem.None of my neighbors have this problem either and I live in a townhouse. It's central air/heating

Anything is possible. If you have a grave concern for your child's health spend your money and have a heating professional check it out.

A HVAC expert is coming out next week.I just thought each vent should receive equal amounts of air flow regardless of room position.

In a decently designed system the rooms might not be all the same, but each room should have a reasonable amount of heat. Does the room have both service and return vents? Are they clear? Perhaps you need to post to the rental law forum.

The square footage of the room/window size/insulation factors, and the desired temperature will determine the amount and temperature of air necessary to heat a room to a certain static design temperature.
