Hi,

My husband is on L1 visa and would be travelling to US in January. I have acouple of queries reagrding my EAD on L2 visa

a. can I apply for EAD from India itself? Or is it mandatory to be present in USA for filing EAD?
b. After filing for EAD, can I return back to India and continue my work with my current employer? ( Don't want to quit my job and sit idle in USA for 3 months, which is time when the EAD comes)

Any replies would be of great help to me.

As far as I know, getting EAD on L2 visa takes from 3-6 months..
With your situation... (3 months trip)... you may not get it... also in between if there is any query... then you may not be able to provide the docs.. if you are not in USA...


So may be u can think.. 3 montsh as vaction trip...
