My friend is desperate to have a baby. She was married for couple of months and this is the first time that her period is late and she believs that she's pregnant. Her cycle is the 10th of evry month and she hadn't gotten it yet so could she be pregnant?? HELP:

She could be the best thing is to take a home test

If she is having sex, of course she could be pregnant. However, there are other factors that can cause a missed or late period also, such as stress, weight gain or loss, change in diet, and change in exercise pattern, just to name a few.

As her period is 18 days late at this point I would recommend you take a pregnancy test using first morning urine.
