    Summons response
I have been issued a summons and complaint by a legal firm representing a credit card company. I am handling this myself and need to know if there is any special language that can help with my response. The questions are quite generic such as "Defendant agreed to the terms and conditions of the credit card agreement". I have a hardship statement composed and ready to send along with the response but am stuck as to exactly what to do. Thanks.

DO NOT provide them with any information. They are the plaintiff and, therefore, are supposed to supply info to YOU not the other way around.

Simply send the summons back with an Intent to Defend. Send a copy of that to the plaintiff with a request for strict verification of the debt.
