The manly art home training course
I found this at my home. My father bought in 1955. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it is worth, if anything?

This is a book. Correct? Could you give us a little more information about it, please? Say, published by, who the author is, more than one volume, description of subject of the course, etc.

It's not an antique. But, it really would be helpful to have additional information as to what it is. Have you tried searching for it in a Google search?

    Thank you!

It a conditioning program by the national sports council in NY. I was published in 1954-55 by the National Sports Council. I has a lot of pictures and drawings of many athletes. There are three parts to the package, The Self Improvement, Conditioning Program and Health Habits Chart.
In the self improvement part it has athletes lessons.

Thank you for providing more detail!

I have tried to find the book or books on the Internet. Have looked in a number of places and also eBay. So far, have not been able to find any information. That doesn't mean that it's not out there, though. Have you tried going to a public library to see if they have The Manly Art Home Training Course. If they don't then it would be likely that they would have a record of it's being published. Another source that might be worth having a look at would be the Library of Congress. This is three separate volumes. Correct? Are they hardcover of softcover? How many pages are in each volume if it is three separate books? Are the drawings in color or black and white? That will make a difference as to it's possible monetary value.

I also have this item including the original box/case it came in. It is NOT a set of books. It is similar to the MR. ATLAS BODY BUILDING COURSES that were offered to young men in magazine ads in the late 50's & early 60's. Also have the original owner's membership card and unused patch. The copyright date is 1958, not 1955 as stated by the original poster. The drawings, etc. were copyright 1955. I have done extensive research on this item since before Mickey Mantle passed away. Even the cooperstown librarian was not aware it existed. If anyone has any more info on it please feel free to email me at: [email protected]
