NO MS CONTIN is the same as Morphine Sulfaye I am Taking this med. That's how I know what it is

No I am not a pharmacist I am ON long term pain meds and breakthrough pain meds for side affects from chemotherapy I have severe neuropathy from the chemo

Waxbead is absolutely correct. MS Contin is a brand name of Morphine which is an opioid analgesic (page 693 of the 2007 Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference) and Oxycontin is a brand name of Oxycodone, which is also an opioid analgesic (page 759 of the 200& Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference).
So, in answer to the OPs question... No they are not the same, but work in the same manner.
