    Bad acne!
I'm 18 and I've had bad acne since I was 12 and I have tried everything to get rid of it but so far nothing works. What can I do?:(

Try going to the dermatologist. They can prescribe something for your exact skin type.

    Have you tried Proactive?

Yes, proactiv is really good, I also recommend it. I used to hate it and swear it was the worst stuff because I used it for months and it did nothing. I've recently started using it again, and my face is completely clear. I have no idea why now and not before, but you should try it!

Go to your doctor and talk to her/him. My doctor put me on a benzoyl peroxide wash, and I'm thinking about starting birthcontrol to help. Something I'd like to suggest is the proactiv sulfur face mask. I usually put it on after my evening face wash, and leave it on all night. It's dramatically improved my skin.

    Also, the no brainers
    1. Wash your face in the morning when you wake up and the evening when you go to bed. Others usually wash their face when they get home, plus that right before bed face wash.

    2. A good moisturizer, I recommend the proactiv ones. That's really the only one that I've used.

    3. Keep your hands and other objects off your face. If you have a habit of putting your hands on your face, wash your hands all the time.

    4. Do not pick at your pimples. That could leave scars.

Another thing I is researching about acne and the bacteria that causes it.

I use proactiv and it really helps. If your skin is easily irritated or dry, use the gentle formula, it has no alcohol in it. Other than that, just use moisturizer and wash your face everyday.

I had the same problem. I tried everything too, but then I went to the doctor and got a prescription for acne medication. It was called Tetracycline and it worked great. Try talking to your doctor about it.
