How can I legally evict my boyfriend who's not on my lease?
    In Columbus, OH

I've been renting my apartment now for close to 6 years and I let my useless boyfriend move in when he didn't have anywhere else to go. Well that was 4 years ago and now I want him out. He isn't on my lease, he's out of work, and he doesn't contribute to the rent at all. He won't leave willingly and I don't know if he will leave even if I give him written 30 day notice. Can someone give me some insight into this problem or let me know what Ohio's laws are regarding this issue?

    Thanks

After 4 years he's established residence. If he is not on the lease, then he is your tenant and you have to evict him. Check with your local courthouse for the procedure in your area. Generally you start with a 30 day notice. If he doesn't leave, give him a 3-7 day vacate order. If he still isn't out, you have to go to the court for an eviction order.
