I just recently had AT&T Dish Network set up and the only problem I am having is making my DVD/VHS combo unit record to a VHS tape. I can play and DVD or VHS tape but when I record a channel to the VHS tape the picture is extremely fuzzy. I have my VHS/ DVD combo set to channel 73 and I was told to set my TV on channel 3 to record channel 8. that does not work .What works is if I say in dish mode and press record which will record the channl on the TV. If I want to program the time then I must get out of du=ish mode and go to VHS/DVD mode to get the menue to come up so I can program a time to start recording. When I do this the channel will record but will come out fuzzy. If I program the recorder to record channel 73 that channel will record fine but no oether channels will record fine. So far I can record 73 by programming in a time to start recording or I can stay in the dish mode watching satalite TV and just press the record button which will record the channel I am watching. If I try to program a time to watch any other channel but 73 then the pricture records very fuzzy. When I play a DVD or a store bought VHS tape both play fine. How do I fix this problem?

You can't, from what they told me when they hooked mine up. My VCR is hooked up with mine, but turns off when I turn on satellite
