Houseplant, black leaf tips and leaves dropping off
I'm not sure this is the right category. I'm asking about a houseplant that is predisiposed to many diseases (Salvia Divinorum). Does anyone know what would cause leaves to drop after turning black or dark brown at the tips? I fed it and there is some new growth but I'm afraid I'll lose the plant.

This is not the right category (try further on in "gardening"). Sound like fungus from overwatering and too cool temperature. If the plant is the one I think it is, it is temperature and water sensitive. It does not like "wet feet" just not dry, and if the area is too cool or too sunny it will also die. This plant is a "shade to part sun" plant that likes it warm (not hot). Usual room temp. should do it, away from windows. Unless your place is extremely dry, watering about once a week to a week and a half should do. Also does the pot have drainage? Small rocks or marbles in the bottom of the pot will help. You should be able to find out all the info you want online by typing the plants' name.
