Would you mind describing what you are talking about in more detail, please? Not quite sure what you mean by "underground." But, I do have a suspicion of what you are talking about.

I ain't no expert on zits, but one of the things that I used to be called when I was younger was "pizza face!"

Underground meaning there is no surface of the zit... its all under the skin... unpoppable... and driving me nuts...

It's on my chin and every time I talk or smile it hurts... I want it gone!!

I know exactly what you are talking about! I really wish that there was someone here who could explain the many variety of zits that there are! I think that I have had them all.

My personal experience with the kind that you are describing, is that if you leave it alone, it should disappear in three or four days. I have found that when I mess with them, that they last longer.

Do you ever use a liquid facial mask? (Getting into areas here where I'm certainly no expert, but have had some experience.)

I have... but that helps with nothing... and I have to use it BEFORE I shower for the day, as it gets into my hair... so no for today... I will in the morning though.

I have found that when I apply the mask to certain concentrated areas more than once in a number of minutes, rather than my whole face, (allowing for the necessary drying time, of course) that it can also be beneficial.

Hmm... I shall try this, thanks Clough.

I like to use Merle Norman products. There are of course, good and bad products out there. Again, I'm no expert. I just know what has worked for me.

Do you want to hear another thing that I do with the "underground" that sometimes helps? I'm definitely more than a little afraid to post it, if you are interested, because I'm afraid of someone bashing me for being off-base. But then, maybe that would be okay, because part of being a participant on this site is all about learning. Maybe if I knew more about how to "take care" of my own zits properly, I wouldn't have as many as I do.

I have a very ruddy complexion, by the way. It kind of goes with my being of celtic ancestry. I choose to use a base on a daily basis in order to make my skin tone look more even. When I went to get the base stuff and other things for my skin, I was relieved to find that I am not the only guy out there that does this kind of thing.

Clough are talking about just keep touching them until they get a head? That's what I do! Probably not the best but as long as it's not all the time I can't see how it could hurt. When I'm feeling particularly bad I even put something greasy like lip balm on. Now that is probably a definite no-no.

I'm terrible though, I'll squeeze out blackheads - I worked out how to do it. It was very successful actually and they all went away without scarring, however I think I was an exception to the rule.

I should know better as well I did skin care courses for my pharmacy job. *hangs head in shame*

I think I posted a question a while back about how to get rid of blackheads... How do you do yours?
