    Can the IRS touch disability income
    I owe back taxes to the IRS and am going to star receiving social security disability next month can the IRS touch my disability income

    To my knowledge, disability income( SSD) is not considered income at all, including IRS.

    Don't quote me on this, this is second hand info.

    I am interested as to the answers by the experts also, this is another reason for my post,

    It's quite complicted, you know, it's the IRS but I believe the IRS can attach some if not all. Best to read the IRS publications or call them.

    If the Social Security Disability income is your ONLY source of income, then the IRS CANNOT touch it.
