I am not in Ohio but found this: "Ohio Law currently prohibits anyone under 21 years of age to consume, possess or be under the influence of alcohol in a public place. Those persons who face criminal charges for a first time violation can often apply to the Court for admission into a DIVERSION PROGRAM. This method often results in a Fee ($150 currently), community service, attendance of an alcohol abuse seminar, and court costs to be paid up front (Total costs are about $270), in order to get the charge dismissed. (To seal it is an additional $25 charge). "

It is also a misdemeanor to provide alcohol to minors and I understand that as part of the sentence the Court can require info on who provided the alcohol and then charge that person.
