    Glass block shower
I installed a Pittsburgh Corning glass block shower. I followed all their directions and used the products included in the kit. After several months I noticed the grout sealer was peeling/flaking off. Pittsburgh says my problem is not their problem. Why is the sealer peeling?

Have you contacted the manufacturer of the sealer regarding the flaking? Sounds likem the sealer may not have been part of the kit. What/who made the grout and what did they have to say about sealing the grout? How long after grouting did you seal?

The grout sealer was included in the Pittsburgh Corning glass block shower kit. Pittsburgh directions said to wait 4 hours before sealing grout. The sealer included in the kit said to wait 48 hours. I called Pittsburgh and they said to follow the directions on the bottle of sealer. I waited a week, opened the sealer. It was the consistency of cottage cheese so I called Pittsburgh. They sent a 2nd bottle of sealer-same manufacturer about 2 weeks later, different name on bottle. This bottle said to wait 7 days. Three weeks had already passed so I sealed the shower.

Thanks for the explanation. I don't see how they can duck the responsibility if you followed all of their directions with their products. Sounds like you got a bad batch, I'd keep hounding them. Remind them of the cottage cheese from the original batch.
